In 2018, the Fox Run FRC earned a prestigious endorsement by Parents as Teachers (PAT) National Center as a Blue Ribbon Affiliate, making it one of the top performing home visiting affiliates within the international Parents as Teachers network. Being named a Blue Ribbon Affiliate affirms that the Fox Run FRC is a high-quality member of the home visiting field, implementing the evidence-based Parents as Teachers model with fidelity. COVID-19 Update: Parents may participate via facetime, Zoom or other remote learning platform with a Parent Educator. We offer bi-weekly or monthly meetings. Call 203-899-2326 to jpin.
Families enrolled in PAT receive monthly meetings, in the home, FRC or other location, with a trained, certified parent educator to discuss their child's development and any challenges they may be facing. Children receive regular developmental screenings using the Ages & Stages (ASQ) parent questionnaire and health screenings. Norwalk families with children age birth through 5 are eligible. Expectant parents are also eligible. Parents meet other parents of young children through regularly scheduled group meetings, workshops and weekly playgroups. Participation in PAT is voluntary and free. |
