What is an FRC?
Welcome to the Fox Run School Family Resource Center, a place where families can get the information and assistance they need. We are located in the B wing in Fox Run Elementary School, Norwalk, Connecticut.
The Family Resource Center (or FRC) is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on school days. The FRC is also open during the summer months.

Among the many services we offer are (please note: due to Covid-19, some programs may now be offered in a virtual format) :
- Afterschool Enrichment programs : See the tab to the left for a list of virtual out-of-school programs.
- Ages & Stages developmental screenings for Norwalk children age 2 months to 60 months (5 years).
- Early Connections groups that meet in the Family Resource Center (Room B- 7). Early Connections groups are open to Norwalk families with children age birth to 5 accompanied by a parent, grandparent or care provider. During group meetings, FRC staff are available to answer questions about child development.
- Adult ESL and Education FRC staff are here to connect you with local classes toward a high school diploma or GED; certificate programs at nearby colleges; and job training workshops.
- Raising Readers Parent Clubs The FRC partners with Norwalk schools elementary and preschools to offer 6 to 8 week programs to promote literacy activities in the home. Clubs are offered through out the year at various sites in English and Spanish.
- Parents As Teachers is a research-based, voluntary home visitation program for parents with children age birth to 5. Expectant parents are also eligible.
- Programs for Norwalk daycare providers: Special events, field trips and classes are offered throughout the year; check our CALENDAR to the left for the latest offerings. Funding for daycare provider programs is provided by the Norwalk Early Childhood Council Quality Enhancement Initiative.
